The Three.ws User Group Meets Inside the World Again on November 6

By the three.ws team

The Three.ws User Group on IBM Community is meeting inside three.ws again: Friday, November 6, 2026, 8:00 to 9:00 AM Pacific (16:00 to 17:00 UTC), hosted with IBM Community. It is the group's third meetup and its second in the world, after the August meetup there and an online live build of an embedded 3D agent. Same venue as August, the $THREE home town at three.ws/play. Same price, free. Same requirements, a browser. The countdown and an add-to-calendar button are on three.ws/event.

Your time

8 AM San Francisco, 11 AM New York, 4 PM London, 5 PM Berlin, 9:30 PM Mumbai, midnight Singapore and Hong Kong (into Saturday), 1 AM Saturday in Tokyo. The US leaves daylight saving time on November 1, so in Europe and Asia this lands an hour later on the local clock than the August meetup did.

How to join

  1. Open three.ws/event and press the join button, or open three.ws/play and pick the pinned $THREE world at the top of the list.
  2. Build your avatar first at three.ws/create, from a sentence or a selfie. It walks into the world with you. Guests get an avatar automatically if you skip this.
  3. Walk up to people and talk. Voice is spatial: you hear the people near you, from where they stand. Text chat works too.

Doors open early at 7:45 AM Pacific. The team is at the spawn point to help anyone new to a 3D world get moving before the program starts.

The run of show

The world runs the schedule itself: each segment announces in the world as it starts, and a countdown appears in the home town the day before.

The Meetup Orbit Crown

Everyone in the $THREE world during the hour receives the Meetup Orbit Crown, a wearable granted only during this session. It lands in your wardrobe while you are in the world, including if you came early for doors and were already standing in the plaza at 8:00, and it stays yours.

Why we keep meeting in the world

The venue is the demo. An hour at the meetup is an hour of hands-on time with the multiplayer world, the avatar pipeline and the agent economy this group exists to talk about, and nobody installs anything to take part. Every world on the platform is a plain URL, so what you see on Friday is what any community can run for its own events.

The long-form announcement, the technical write-up and the event listing live in the Three.ws User Group on IBM Community.
