Alibaba Cloud Marketplace has published an editorial introducing three.ws. The post walks through what the platform does and how it works, on Alibaba Cloud's own marketplace blog: three.ws on the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace blog.
This follows the three.ws listing on the Alibaba Cloud International Marketplace. The listing made <agent-3d> procurable by every Alibaba Cloud customer; the editorial puts it in front of the marketplace's editorial audience and explains it.
What the editorial covers
The Alibaba Cloud Marketplace blog introduces three.ws as a browser-based platform for creating and deploying 3D AI agents — upload a 3D avatar, give it an AI personality, and deploy it as an interactive assistant with no technical setup required. It describes the technical architecture:
- Browser-native 3D rendering — glTF 2.0 / GLB in WebGL 2.0 with Draco, KTX2, and Meshopt decompression.
- An LLM-driven agent runtime — a Claude-powered brain with tool use, animations, gestures, and memory.
- Optional on-chain identity — register an agent via ERC-8004, minting a verifiable, portable identity.
Render, Embody, Register, Embed
The editorial frames the platform around four functions, the same loop three.ws ships in production: Render a 3D model instantly in the browser, Embody it with an LLM brain, Register an on-chain identity it carries across platforms, and Embed it anywhere as a web component with a single <agent-3d> tag. The post notes the entire stack is open source under Apache 2.0 and runs three.ws in production today.
Why this matters
Alibaba Cloud is the #1 cloud provider in Asia and one of the top four hyperscalers globally. Its International Marketplace serves enterprise customers across China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. A listing is the procurement flow; an editorial on the marketplace blog is the discovery flow — it puts three.ws in front of the developers and enterprises already browsing the marketplace for what to build with next.
